Para além da tinta e da madeira: juventude rural e preservação patrimonial em Pedra do Anta MG

Abstract

O presente trabalho procurou analisar a participação de jovens rurais em um processo de restauração realizado na capela-mor da igreja matriz de São Sebastião em Pedra do Anta MG a fim de investigar em que as ações de reconhecimento, valorização e preservação do patrimônio local podem contribuir para a vida de jovens rurais compreendidos como portadores de cultura. O fortalecimento da imagem do jovem como um ser social movido unidirecionalmente para o futuro implica em sua desvinculação com a linha do tempo e na destituição de seu papel de agente consciente e presente no processo histórico. As políticas culturais não podem ser formuladas na forma de um pacote cultural que não leve em consideração a situação de transitoriedade do jovem rural, entendida aqui não só pela posição entre tempos da fase infantil para a idade adulta, mas principalmente pelo trânsito cada vez mais cotidiano entre o contexto rural e o urbano. Do ponto de vista dessa dissertação defende-se que a cultura é um campo ainda inexplorado por parte das políticas públicas direcionadas a jovens rurais embora essa demanda tenha sido explicitada pelos jovens entrevistados nessa pesquisa.The preset study sought to analyze the participation of young rural population in a process of restoration performed in the chapel mor of the church of San Sebastian matrix in Pedra do Anta MG in order to investigate the actions of recognition, recovery and preservation of the patrimony place can contribute to the life of rural young rural people included as bearers of culture. From the standpoint of this dissertation argues that culture is a field still unexplored by the public policies directed at rural youth although this demand has been explained by the young people interviewed in this research.
