A compreensão textual como fator interveniente na retextualização do discurso direto em discurso indireto

Abstract

Neste trabalho, analisamos a influência exercida pela compreensão textual e os conhecimentos sobre o discurso relatado na reformulação ou retextualização do discurso direto para o discurso indireto. Consideramos os postulados da análise do discurso e da lingüística textual acerca do tema, para analisar oito produções textuais do PASES/UFV - 1a etapa, triênio 2008- 2010 - quanto à sua adequação à proposta de produção textual e quanto à relação estabelecida na transformação do discurso direto em indireto, durante o processo de retextualização. Ressaltamos, ainda, que as aulas de língua portuguesa devem ser pautadas nas atividades de leitura e produção, e o texto deve ser considerado como um evento sociocomunicativo. Percebemos a necessidade de se trabalhar em sala de aula com atividades de leitura, compreensão e produção textual, sem deixar de lado a relação leitor-escritor via texto, inseridos em um discurso.

In this study, we analyze the influence of reading comprehension and knowledge about reported speech in the process of retextualization from direct to indirect speech. We consider the assumptions of discourse analysis and textual linguistics to examine eight writings produced during the first round of PASES / UFV - triennium 2008-2010 - as for their suitability to the proposed theme and the relationship established in the transformation from direct to indirect speech, during the retextualization process. We emphasize that the teaching of Portuguese must be based on reading and writing activities but the text should be regarded as a social and communicative event. We perceived the need to work with reading and writing activities in classroom, without putting aside, through the text, the reader-writer relationship inserted in a discourse.
