Infância e Espaço em Primeiras estórias (1962), de João Guimarães Rosa

Abstract

Os contos “As margens da alegria” e “Os cimos”, primeiro e último, respectivamente, do livro Primeiras estórias (1962), de João Guimarães Rosa são analisados comparativamente objetivando investigar o olhar da personagem infantil em relação ao espaço ao seu redor. Ambos os contos trazem a figura de um Menino que se desloca de casa para um lugar onde uma grande cidade está em fase de construção. Acredita-se que o espaço seja um elemento que possibilita conceber a imersão dessa personagem, enquanto sujeito perceptivo, em um mundo socialmente partilhado. Dessa forma, a análise feita se sustenta em teorias que discutem o espaço ficcional enquanto materialização das experiências humanas, nos contos, mais especificamente, das percepções e experiências da personagem infantil.The tale "As margens da alegria" and "Os cimos", first and the last, respectively, from the book Primeiras estórias (1920), by João Guimarães Rosa are analyzed comparatively aiming to investigate the look from the infant character in relation to the environment around her. Both tales bring a figure of a boy who moves from a house to a place, where a big city is in construction. We can believe that the environment is an element that allows to conceive this character immersion while perceptive subject in a world socially shared. Thereby, the analysis is based in theories that discuss the fictional space as materialization of human experiences, especially in the tales, from the infant character's perceptions and experiences.
