Abstract
This article is a clipping of a broader research that verified the representations of children about work. It derives from the need to hear what children think about the theme and its sexual division, since, inserted in a rich environment of exchanges and interactions, they are directly subject to the ideas of this environment, internalizing them, but also reconstructing them and giving them new and singular meanings. The clinical interview conducted with the children, using concrete material, revealed how their representations change according to age group. Results obtained with the group belonging to the age group of early childhood education, between 4 and 7 years old, are reported. The results point to representations based on the observable world and still very simple ideas about the polarization of male and female work in which the naturalization of the female place appears in the private sphere to the idea that man can help.
