Análise de crescimento da tiririca (Cyperus rotundus L.)

Abstract

Este experimento foi conduzido na Estação Experimental de Linhares-ES, da Empresa Capixaba de Pesquisa Agropecuária (EMCAPA). Tubérculos de tiririca foram plantados em tubos de PVC, em quatro profundidades diferentes, com o objetivo de avaliar algumas características do seu crescimento. Foi observado que ocorrem períodos de crescimento e repouso vegetativo nas plantas de tiririca, iniciando-se a fase de rebrota quando a temperatura do ar se eleva. A razão de área foliar, a razão de peso foliar e área foliar específica apresentaram comportamentos semelhantes, decrescendo com & ontogenia das plantas. O acúmulo de matéria seca atingido pelos órgãos subterrâneos foi superior ao alcançado pelos demais órgãos da planta. Houve emergência de plantas de tiririca em todas as profundidades de plantio, incluSive a 1,00m.

This trial was carried out under fleld conditions in Linhares-ES, Brazil. Tubers of this weed were planted in PVC tubes in different depths to evaluate some characteristics of purple nutsedge growth. The growth stages were studied every other week in a complete randomized design. The purple nutsedge showed a period of very slow growth, and started sprouting when air temperature increased. Leaf area ratio, leaf weight ratio and specific leaf area exhibited a similar behavior, all decreasing as the nutsedge aged. Dry matter accumulation by the underground organs was greater than that in other plant organs. There was emergency of plants in all depths of tube plantation.
