A diversidade humana e o trabalho de assistentes sociais na política de educação básica

Abstract

Em 2019, com a aprovação da lei 13.935 de 11 de dezembro, torna-se obrigatório a inserção de assistentes sociais e psicólogos na educação básica brasileira. A inserção do Serviço Social nesta área não é recente, mas a partir da lei existe a possibilidade de expansão do espaço de trabalho e das reflexões das ações na política de educação. A partir da compreensão dos princípios do projeto ético-político do Serviço Social de luta pela garantia da liberdade, emancipação e autonomia; de ampliação da cidadania, democracia com a defesa intransigente dos direitos humanos e a contribuição para uma sociedade sem exploração, e preconceito, pensar e propor ações que possibilitem a diversidade humana é imprescindível. Dessa forma, o objetivo deste trabalho foi analisar como as/os assistentes sociais de Viçosa e região compreendem o exercício profissional de assistentes sociais na educação básica na direção da promoção à diversidade humana. A partir da perspectiva crítica dialética, o presente estudo, analisou a relação entre o trabalho do Serviço Social, política de educação e a construção de respostas profissionais na construção da diversidade humana. Para isso, foi realizada uma pesquisa bibliográfica, documental e de campo, com realização de entrevistas sem amostragem probabilística, com os/as Assistentes Sociais de Viçosa e região. A partir da pesquisa foi possível constatar que, os profissionais de Serviço Social, quando inseridos na educação básica, possuem, a princípio, uma dificuldade em compreender qual é de fato o seu papel dentro da política de educação, tendo em vista, que as instituições de ensino, não compreendem inicialmente, a importância do profissional no ambiente escolar. Em relação à diversidade humana, verificou-se que o exercício profissional de Assistentes Sociais, é voltado para a sua promoção, entretanto, esta promoção se esbarra em limites e desafios para sua efetivação na política de educação básica. In 2019, with the approval of law 13,935 of December 11, it became mandatory to include social workers and psychologists in Brazilian basic education. The insertion of Social Service in this area is not recent, but from the law there is the possibility of expanding the work space and also reflections on actions in education policy. From the understanding of the principles of the Social Service's ethical-political project of fighting to guarantee freedom, emancipation and autonomy; of expanding citizenship, democracy with the uncompromising defense of human rights and the contribution to a society without exploitation, and prejudice, thinking and proposing actions that enable human diversity is essential. Therefore, this research proposal had Social Workers in Viçosa and the region as its object of study. To this end, the main objective of this work was based on analyzing how social workers in Viçosa and the region understand the professional practice of social workers in basic education in the direction of promoting human diversity. Based on the Marxist dialectical critical theoretical framework, this study analyzed the relationship between Social Service work, education policy and the construction of professional responses in the construction of diversity. To this end, bibliographical, documentary and field research was carried out, with interviews carried out with Social Workers from Viçosa and the region. Interviews were carried out, without probabilistic sampling, with Social Workers, and from the answers obtained, it was possible to verify that, Social Service professionals, when inserted in basic education, have, at first, a difficulty in understanding what the its role within education policy, bearing in mind that educational institutions do not initially understand the importance of professionals in the school environment. In relation to human diversity, it was found that the professional practice of Social Workers is aimed at its promotion, however, this promotion faces limits and challenges for its implementation in the basic education policy.
