Abstract
Palavras-chave: Análise do Discurso. Representações sociodiscursivas. Gênero discursivo. Guia politicamente incorreto dos presidentes da República
The following work's main goal is to search for the representation of women in the fictional context of the Politically Incorrect Guide to Presidents of the Republic, by Paulo Schmidt. To do so, we developed a brief bibliographic revision about women throughout the main republican periods of the Western world (Classical Civilization, the American and French Revolutions, and the Brazilian Republic) so that we could understand the limits between the reality and the fiction of the Guide. Then, considering the fictional filter promoted by the author's perspective that proposes a new way of telling the History, we discussed the concept of Politically Incorrect, the functioning of Traditional Historiography and the discursive materiality of the Guide. For the analysis, we presented and described the theoretical- methodological apparatuses of Semiolinguistic Theory: the functioning of the communication situation and Enunciation (Charaudeau, 2016, 2008a; Mello, 2004); reflections on situational and conversational genres (Bakhtin, 2016; Charaudeau, 2004; Maingueneau, 1997, 2004, 2006); and the search for definitions and categories of analysis of socio-discursive representations (Amossy, 2008, 2011a, 2011b; Charaudeau, 2007, 2008b, 2008c, 2009). In the process of analyzing the corpus, we applied the research tools in the scenes referring to the Guide’s narrator and in the fictional internal scenes that contain the figure of women as the enunciator or subject of the communication situation. We selected prototypical examples to illustrate the possibilities of representation, opting for representative recurrences and their linguistic-discursive capabilities. After analyzing the corpus, it was possible to identify marks of representation of women in the Guide through the narrator's filter, through the perception of other characters as occupants of social roles and creators of Sociodiscursive Imaginaries, and through the enunciation of the female characters themselves, reaching the domain of ethos. Keywords: Discourse analysis. Sociodiscursive representations. Discursive genre. Politically incorrect guide of the presidents of the Republic
