Licenciaturas da Universidade Federal de Viçosa: um olhar de professores em exercício sobre seu processo de formação inicial

Abstract
Pretende-se neste trabalho identificar a potencialidade dos saberes docentes desenvolvidos na formação inicial, frente à docência; identificar as percepções dos professores sobre o “ser professor”; e apresentar proposições visando ao estreitamento das relações universidade-escola. Foram entrevistados quinze professores de Viçosa-MG, graduados nos cursos de Licenciatura da UFV. Os dados foram tratados pela análise de conteúdo. Considera- -se necessário investir nos currículos das licenciaturas favorecendo a relação teoria/ prática e assim aproximar a universidade das escolas, beneficiando o desenvolvimento profissional docente.
The aim of this work is to identify the potentiality of teacher know- ledge developed in initial training, compared to teaching activity; to identify the teacher’s perceptions about “being a teacher”; and to present proposals aimed at narrowing the university-school relations. Fifteen te- achers of the city of Viçosa-MG have been interviewed; all of them have graduated at UFV teachers’ education courses. The data were treated by content analysis. It is necessary to support the curriculum of the teachers’ education courses to make easier the theory/practice relationship and then put together the university and the schools, to benefit the teaching professional development.
