A mulher como alvo de tabu: O fascínio da ambiguidade feminina

Abstract

Este ensaio discorre sobre a noção de tabu dentro do quadro da teoria das representações sociais, chamando-se atenção para a figura da mulher como particular alvo de representações e interpretações culturais. No que se refere à constituição de um percurso histórico sobre o tabu, foi de grande importância a obra de Freud; para um contato com concepções antropológicas mais modernas, utilizamos o livro de Augras, em que se explicitam associações da mulher ao tabu.

This essay discusses the concept of taboo within the framework of Social Representations Theory, focusing on the woman’s image as a particular target of cultural representations and interpretations. Concerning the establishment of a historical trajectory on the taboo, the work of Freud was of great importance. In order to get a contact with the most modern anthropological conceptions, we used the work of Augras, in which associations of the woman with taboo are explicit.
