Resumo
A palma forrageira é bem adaptada ao clima semiárido, mas alguns tratos culturais podem melhorar o seu desempenho. Objetivou-se avaliar as características agronômicas da palma forrageira a cada 14 dias até os 112 dias de crescimento. Utilizaram-se os dados médios provenientes de um experimento em que os tratamentos consistiram dos dois gêneros de palma (Opuntia e Nopalea), cinco níveis de salinidade (água do canal ou controle = 0,58 dS m-1 e 1,67, 2,69, 3,77 e 4,78 dS m-1 de condutividade elétrica) e três frequências de irrigação (uma, duas ou três irrigações por semana de 500 ml.planta-1). O delineamento foi inteiramente casualizado em fatorial 2x5x3 totalizando 30 tratamentos, com quatro repetições, totalizando 120 unidades amostrais. As plantas foram cultivadas em jarros, com solos de mesmas características e em ambiente a céu aberto e no preenchimento dos vasos para o recebimento dos cladódios foi utilizado solo do local e esterco de curral bem curtido, na proporção de 4:1. As análises estatísticas aos 112 dias de cultivo da palma forrageira evidenciaram poucos efeitos de variedade, frequência de irrigação e salinidade, provavelmente devido ao baixo número de brotos e cladódios, alta variabilidade dos dados e a aplicação dos testes F e Tukey, que são mais rigorosos para se obter efeito estatístico.
Forage palm is well adapted to the semi-arid climate, but some crop treatments can improve its performance. The objective of this study was to evaluate the agronomic characteristics of forage palm every 14 days up to 112 days of growth. Mean data from an experiment in which the treatments consisted of two genera of palm (Opuntia and Nopalea), five levels of salinity were used (canal or control water = 0.58 dS m-1 and 1.67, 2.69, 3.77 and 4.78 dS m-1 of electrical conductivity) and three irrigation frequencies (one, two or three irrigations per week of 500 ml.plant-1). The experimental design was completely randomized in a 2x5x3 factorial with a total of 30 treatments, with four replications, totaling 120 sampling units. The plants were cultivated in jars, with soils of the same characteristics and in an environment in the open air and in the filling of the pots to receive the cladodes, soil from the site and well-tanned corral manure were used, in a ratio of 4:1. Statistical analyses at 112 days of forage palm cultivation showed few effects of variety, irrigation frequency and salinity, probably due to the low number of shoots and cladodes, high variability of the data and the application of the F and Tukey tests, which are more rigorous to obtain statistical effect.
