Comentários sobre a verdade dos fatos e o testemunho

Abstract

O artigo refere-se ao resultado final de um projeto de pesquisa de iniciação científica elaborado por estudantes do ensino médio do Colégio de Aplicação da Universidade Federal de Viçosa. O projeto está vinculado à disciplina Filosofia. O eixo da análise é a relação entre a verdade e o testemunho, mais precisamente com a verdade factual. A argumentação é desenvolvida em torno das elaborações conceituais de Hannah Arendt e Giorgio Agamben. O texto aponta a existência de uma tensão entre a verdade factual e a política e, nessa situação de tensão, sinaliza para o lugar do testemunho no conjunto desse arranjo. Qual é o lugar do testemunho num contexto em que a tensão entre a verdade e a política arrisca a eliminar a verdade, a veracidade e a confiança entre nós? Quais são as fragilidades da verdade e do testemunho? Há riscos para a política quando do banimento da verdade dos fatos? São essas as questões que orientam a articulação dos argumentos.

The article refers to the final result of a scientific initiation research project carried out by high school students at the Application School of the Federal University of Viçosa. The project is linked to the Philosophy discipline. The main point of the analysis is a relationship between truth and testimony, more precisely with factual truth. An argument developed around the conceptual elaborations of Hannah Arendt and Giorgio Agamben. The text signals that there is a tension between factual truth and politics, and this situation of tension signals the place of testimony in the whole of this arrangement. What is the place of testimony in which context the tension between truth and politics risks eliminating truth, truthfulness and trust between us? What are the weaknesses of truth and testimony? Are there risks to politics when banning the truth from the facts? These are the questions that guide the articulation of the arguments.
