Abstract
Sistemas agroflorestais surgem como alternativa no cultivo do café, entretanto, a influência das árvores na incidência de pragas e doenças ainda e objeto de estudo. Este t.rabalho analisou comparativamente a incidência de broca-docafé (Hypothenemus hampei), bichomineiro (Perileucoptera coffeella), cercosporiose (Cercospora coffeicola) e ferrugem (Hemileia vastatrix) em cafeeiros sob sistema agroflorestal (SAF) e monocultivo em Viçosa, MG, ao longo de 19 mews. Houve maior infestaçAo das doenças no ambiente sombreado (SAF), corn baixa infestaço de broca-dos-frutos e bichomineiro em ambos os sistemas.
Agroforestry systems are an alternative in coffee production; however, the influence of trees on pest and disease incidence is still a subject of study. This research aimed to compare the incidence of coffee berry borer (Hypothenemus hampei), leaf-miner (Perileucoptera cofi‘eella), ring spot (Cercaspora cofi’eicola) and rust (Hemileia vastatrix) on coffee plants growing in an agroforestry systems (SAF) and monocrop, in Viçosa (MG) for 19 months. The SAF coffee was more infected by ring spot and rust, and there was little incidence of leaf-miner and coffe berry bores in both systems.
