The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of the season on the seminal and dopplervelocimetric parameters of the testicular artery of adult sheep raised in tropical humid climate. The study was divided into two periods: P1 (amazonian winter); P2 (amazonian summer). The physiological, ultrasonographic and environmental variables were collected three times a day for six weeks per period, while the semen was collected two times a week throughout all year. The experiment was performed in Belém/Pará. Six adult Santa Inês breed sheep were used. A meteorological station was used to obtain the dry bulb temperature and relative humidity data. These data were used to determine the temperature and humidity index. The following physical parameters were evaluated: heart rate, respiratory rate, rectal temperature, superficial scrotal temperature, left and right scrotal distention and left and right scrotal sweating rate. The semen was collected by the artificial vagina method and the ejaculates were evaluated for volume, turbulence, progressive sperm motility, sperm vigor, sperm concentration and supravital test. The Dopplervelocimetric parameters evaluated were indexes of pulsatility and resistivity, obtained by spectral Doppler. Summer was the period with the highest values of temperature and humidity index. There was a moderate correlation between the rate of scrotal sweating with relative humidity (P <0.05). Doppler-velocimetric parameters presented moderate correlation with dry bulb temperature and relative humidity (P <0.05). The mean values of the indexes of pulsatility and resistivity were higher in the summer (P <0.05). There were no significant differences between the testicles. No seminal parameter showed difference between the periods (P> 0.05). No physiological, environmental or Dopplervelocimetric variables maintained the same behavior of correlations with seminal parameters in the two seasonal periods. Consequently, is concluded that the environmental variations in the amazonian winter and summer seasons do not affect the seminal patterns of adult sheep, created in a humid tropical climate. However, the testicular hemodynamics was influenced by the seasonal period of the year, with higher values of the indexes of pulsatility and resistivity in the summer period without compromising the testicular thermoregulation.
