Abstract
Neste artigo, que é parte das discussões elaboradas em tese de doutorado, analisa-se a conjuntura de emergência e proliferação dos rankings acadêmicos nacionais e internacionais, bem como seus principais indicadores e implicações para a gestão universitária. Em termos metodológicos, utilizou-se o levantamento bibliográfico de literatura nacional e internacional e a análise das métricas de dois principais rankings internacionais – Times Higher Education (THE) e Academic Ranking of World Universities (AWRU).
In this article, which is part of the discussions elaborated in doctoral thesis, the emergence and proliferation of the national and international academic rankings are analyzed, as well as their main indicators and implications for university management.
