No campo da Teoria das Organizações, a discussão a respeito da importância dos objetivos é frequente, atingindo não somente aspectos relacionados ao planejamento, mas atingindo questões ligadas à própria existência da organização. Sendo os fins que
se procura alcançar, ou os resultados finais em direção aos quais as atividades são dirigidas, os objetivos orientam as ações organizacionais. Neste trabalho investigaram-se a dimensão e
as implicações da mudança de objetivos em entidade fechada de previdência privada. Estudou-se o caso do AGROS, Instituto UFV de Seguridade Social, criado pela Universidade Federal de Viçosa, para suplementar os benefícios da previdência oficial dos servidores. Com o advento da Lei do Regime Jurídico Único, que modificou o sistema de aposentadoria dos servidores federais, a existência da instituição passou a ser questionada. Na pesquisa,
utilizou-se o método do estudo de caso, sendo a coleta de dados feita através de entrevistas e análise documental. Os resultados indicaram uma significativa mudança de objetivos. Concluiu-se que a adaptação da organização exigiu ajustes na estrutura e nos objetivos, impactando a tecnologia, a cultura e o clima organizacional.
In the field of the Organizations Theory, the discussion regarding the importance of objectives is frequent, reaching not only aspects related to planning, but also issues linked to the existence of the organization itself. Being the purposes aimed to be reached, or the final results towards which the activities are directed to, the objectives guide the organizational actions. In this work the dimension and the implications of the change of objectives in a closed entity of supplementary pension plan were investigated. The case of AGROS, UFV Institute of Social Security, created by Federal University of Viçosa to complement the benefits of the employers’ official pension plan. After the advent of the Law of Unified Legal System that modified the system of retirement of the federal servants, the existence of the institution started to be questioned. In the research, the case study method was used. The collection of data was done based in interviews and documental analysis. The results indicated a significant change of objectives. It was concluded that the adaptation of the organization demanded adjustments in the structure and in the objectives, changing the technology, the culture and the organizational climate.
