Abstract
adensamento unidimensional.
In the present work, field and laboratory geotechnical testing were made. The field study involved the performance of plate bearing tests, direct load tests on Mini-RAP piles, and load test on the improved ground with Mini-Rap piles. The influence of the compacting process on the foundation soil caused by the construction of Mini-RAP piles was studied by means of pressometric tests (PMT). In order to geotechnical understanding of the soil present im the experimental field, soil probes, simple penetration test (SPT) and PMT assays were performed. Undisturbed samples were also removed at different depths to perform laboratory tests of geotechnical characterization, CID triaxial test, flooded direct shear and oedometer test. In the laboratory, the physical, chemical, mineralogical and mechanical properties of electric arc furnace (FEA) slag used as an aggregate of Mini-RAP piles were studied. By means of a reduced physical model of restrictive similarity applied to the Mimi-RAP pile, it was sought to qualitatively understand the behavior of shallow foundation with Mmi-RAP, through statistical analysis. As a result of the set of analyzes, it was possible to affirm that the soil foundation of medium to low bearing capacity treated with Mini-RAP piles was improved, mainly with increase of the bearing capacity and reduction of the displacements of the superficial foundations.
