Precipitação pluvial média mensal e anual nas regiões político-administrativas do Brasil

Abstract

Knowing the distribution of rainfall over time is crucial to quantify the availability of water. This work sought to analyze the behavior of monthly rainfall in five political-administrative regions of Brazil, and compare the annual and monthly behavior of the average rainfall data considering the climatological normal (1961-1990) and historical series of rainfall seasons (1990-2012) for Brazilian capitals. From these data, graphs of average monthly precipitation distributions were generated. With respect to variations obtained for different time series and different numbers of years analyzed, a similar behavior was found to that obtained for distribution of rainfall throughout the year. It was also observed that there is a different behavior with respect to the average monthly rainfall in political-administrative regions of Brazil, where there is a constant homogeneous distribution in the southern region, a symmetric and unimodal behavior for the Southeast, North and Midwest regions, and a symmetrical bimodal behavior in the Northeast region.

Conhecer a distribuição das chuvas ao longo do tempo é fator determinante para quantificar a disponibilidade de água. Com este trabalho, objetivou-se realizar a análise do comportamento da precipitação pluvial mensal nas cinco regiões político-administrativas do Brasil, e também fazer a comparação anual e mensal do comportamento das precipitações médias considerando dados obtidos das normais climatológicas (1961 a 1990) e de séries históricas de estações pluviométricas (1990 a 2012) para as capitais brasileiras. A partir desses dados, foram gerados gráficos de distribuição da precipitação média mensal. Com relação às variações obtidas para diferentes séries históricas e diferentes quantidades de anos analisados, obteve-se um comportamento semelhante quanto à forma da distribuição do regime pluviométrico ao longo do ano. Observou-se também que existe um comportamento diferente com relação à precipitação média mensal nas regiões político-administrativas do Brasil, sendo uma distribuição homogênea constante, referente à região Sul; um comportamento simétrico e unimodal, referentes às regiões Sudeste, Norte e Centro-oeste; e um comportamento simétrico bimodal, referente à região Nordeste.
