Abstract
The efficiency of the sprays for weed control is related to the uniformity of the herbicide application. The existing methods to determine spray efficiency are very laborious, tiring and time consuming. This work was done to develop a computational program to estimate droplet uniformity in herbicide sprays. Different concentrations of droplets on a hydrosensitive paper were scanned, with the use of matrices of 270 x 270 pixel and the threshold processes and connectivity between pixels. The results of the computational program allowed for easy, rapid and low cost determination of the efficiency of herbicide sprays. The results obtain with this computational program showed high correlation with the data obtained with Image Tool software.
