Notas para uma geografia da religião

Abstract

A proposta é indicar argumentos que permitam que debates sobre as espacialidades das religiões sejam orienta- dos pelas reflexões existentes nas ciências humanas em torno da temática. Para tanto, o texto conceitua a cultura religiosa a partir da contribuição de teóricos clássicos, bem como estabelece notas que permitem que as análises geográficas em torno da cultura religiosa se tornem mais consistentes ao se aproximarem das contribuições de antropólogos e sociólogos que se debruçaram sobre a questão. O ensaio chama atenção, destarte, para as imbricações necessárias entre a antropologia, a sociologia e a geografia para teorizações em torno das espacialidades do sagrado

The proposal is to raise arguments that enable discussions about the spatiality of religions to be guided by reflections existing in the social sciences around the theme. For this, the text conceptualizes religious culture based on the contributions of classical theorists, as well as it prepares notes so that the geographic analysis around the religious culture become more consistent when approaching the contributions of anthropologists and sociologists who have studied the issue. Thus, the essay points out for the necessary overlaps between anthropology, sociology and geography to theorizing about spatiality of the sacred.
