Demanda. Acesso. Brasil.

The literature points that both the demand and the access are determined by the interaction between individual and contextual features, and one of the most relevant individual features is the educational level. In that sense, the present study analyzed the effect of a higher level of schooling over the demand and the access to preventive health services in Brazil through the estimation of Multilevel Logistic Models. For that, data from the National Health Survey from 2019 were used. The results indicated that a higher level of schooling increases the probability of demand of preventive services by the individuals and also increases the probability of access, when the demand exists. The conclusion is that there is a need for awareness of the population regarding prevention and the possibilities there is of meeting the health needs of the individuals.
