Controle.

Forest certification regulates the use of pesticides due to the damage they can produce to the environment and human health, but chemical control is the most economical, efficient, and practical in the case of leaf-cutting ants. Concluding that it is still necessary to evaluate alternatives to chemical insecticides, but that there is a high variety of elements that could be used. The second chapter was the evaluation of four biological products in the control of leaf-cutting ants Acromyrmex aspersus F. Smith (Hymenoptera: Formicidae), based on fungi and bacteria. These products were able to change the foraging activity and the locomotion behaviors, showing a high potential to be used in the control of ants. Keywords: Biopesticides. Forest certification.
