Abstract
Introduction: The technique can be understood as the execution of a foundation within the game to reach a certain objective. It is directly related to both the mode of execution (efficiency) and the achievement of the objective (effectiveness). Objective: This study aimed to analyze the offensive technical behavior among U-11, U-13, and U-15 categories in soccer small-sided games (GK + 3 vs. 3 + GK) to verify the possible differences in performance of the offensive technical actions between these categories. Methodology: A total of 84 male soccer players from the youth categories participated in this study, divided into U-11 (n = 30), U-13 (n = 24), and U-15 (n = 30) categories. The inclusion criteria for the sample were considered: (i) to participate in systematic training at least three times a week and to participate in championships at the state or national level. Offensive variables were analyzed through the notational analysis of recorded games, which are: Shoot; Pass; Dribble; Faint, and Reception. For statistical analysis, ANOVA One-Way tests were used for independent samples and the MannWhitney test to compare if there were significant differences between the performance of offensive technical actions between the different categories, considering (p < .05). Results: The players performed a total of 1142 offensive technical actions. Only the technical action of Reception showed significant differences between the categories. The U-13 category presented higher values in this variable in comparison with the others two categories. Conclusion: The U-13 category showed better performance in Reception's technical actions compared to the U-11 and U-15 categories.
