Corpo jovem: o que a escola ensina?

Abstract

A percepção do corpo para o indivíduo jovem vai além da sua estrutura biológica, passando pela compreensão do corpo como uma construção cultural e social. As discussões sobre o corpo adolescente e a sexualidade, devem estar inseridas no projeto político pedagógico das escolas, com enfoque voltado para uma prática docente centrada na relação “Corpo x Jovem”. Voltado para esta reflexão, este trabalho tem como objetivo: identificar a origem das informações adquiridas por garotos e garotas sobre o corpo adolescente e a sexualidade; identificar, na perspectiva do indivíduo adolescente, qual a abordagem dada ao corpo e a sexualidade no ambiente escolar; e compreender qual a expectativa que estes sujeitos apresentam em relação ao conhecimento da sua corporeidade e da sexualidade. Os dados coletados mostraram que a escola apresenta dificuldade em dialogar, com os/as adolescentes, sobre o corpo e a sexualidade, concentrando as informações referentes à esses temas nos aspectos biológicos, não atendendo às expectativas, ansiedades e inquietações dos/as alunos/as.

The perception of the body for the young individual is going besides his/her biological structure and raisin for the understanding of the body while a cultural and social construction. With that reflection, it is looked to contribute inside with discussions about the body and the process teaching-learning, aimed that the focus adopted in this text become useful for an educational practice centered in the relationship "BodyxYoung". In this way, this work has for objective to identify the origin of the information acquired by adolescent about the body, to diagnose in his perspective the approach given to the body in the school atmosphere, as well as understanding which needs that these subjects present in relation to the knowledge about his/her body. The collected data showed that the school presents a difficulty in dialoguing about the body with adolescent and, most of the time, the approaches at the school don't correspond to the anxieties and needs of students.
