Avaliação de resultados da extensão rural pública no estado de Minas Gerais

Abstract

Este artigo emprega o modelo de avaliação de resultados sobre as intervenções da EMATER-MG. Empregaram-se técnicas de análise tabular e análises multivariáveis sobre a amostra de 81 municípios rurais de pequeno porte no estado. Os resultados gerados, em nível de produtores rurais e dos municípios, mostraram-se associados às ações onde as Emateres desenvolveram as suas atividades. Dados e informações obtidos permitem subsidiar os tomadores de decisão e os formadores de políticas em extensão rural.

In this article the result evaluation model was used to investigate the EMATER’s (technical assistance and rural extension companies) intervention in the State of Minas Gerais. The techniques of tabular analysis and multivariate analyses were applied to a sample of 81 small rural municipal districts in the State. The results obtained for farmers and municipal districts were shown to be associated with the interventions where that companies developed their activities. Data and information obtained will aid decision makers and policy formulation in rural extension.
