Abstract

A medula óssea contem células osteoprogenitoras que podem ser obtidas por aspiração tornando-a urn efetivo enxerto ósseo por si so e em combinagao corn outros materiais, Como enxertos ósseos esponjoso e cortical e de matriz óssea desmineralizada. 0 numero e concentração de células osteoprogenitoras são influenciados pelo volume aspirado, que deve ser obtido por meio de seringa previamente heparinizada e em sitios diferentes, para evitar a diluiÇao corn sangue. A medula pode ser concentrada por centrifugação, e sua aplicagao via percutanea e um método simples, corn minimo trauma aos tecidos, não introduzindo tecido desvitalizado e, desta forma, reduzindo o risco de infecOo e interferencia na reparação Gssea.

The osteogenic potential of the bone marrow graft is cellular count-dependent. Because of the physical characteristics of the medulla, its harvesting is a simple procedure with minimal trauma and bone marrow collection is obtained with heparinized syringe, with no damage to the osteogenic potential of the samples. Concentration of medullary cells by centrifuging does not negatively interfere in the osteogenic potential of the sample. Percutaneous marrow grafting is a simple method, with no need of surgical approach and introduction of devitalized tissue, thus reducing the risk of infection and interference in bone repair.
