Abstract
Este estudo buscou analisar a percepção de bancárias-mães sobre a administração da interface entre a família e o trabalho remunerado de acordo com os programas de responsabilidade social implementados pelos bancos. A amostra foi composta por 12 funcionárias que estavam passando por períodos de gestação ou que já possuíam filhos a partir do ano 2000 e eram funcionárias de bancos públicos e privados das cidades de Arcos, Formiga e Piumhi. A coleta de dados foi realizada através da pesquisa documental e entrevista fundamentada em um roteiro semi-estruturado. Os resultados mostraram que os programas eram abrangentes e desconsideravam especificidades, como questões relacionadas ao segmento feminino. Embora as funcionárias tenham relatado apoio dos bancos durante o período de gestação e maternidade, este apoio já estava previsto em lei. A dificuldade em administrar as diferentes demandas e papéis comprometeu a performance no trabalho e a qualidade de vida familiar.
This study aimed to analyze the perception of mothers working in a bank regarding the management of the work-family interface according to the social responsibility programs implemented by the banks. The sample was composed by 12 workers who were pregnant or had children from 2000 on. They worked in public and private banks in the cities of Arcos, Formiga and Piumhi. The data were collected through documents and semi-structured interviews. The results indicated that the programs were comprehensive and, as so, did not consider specific women’s needs. Although women related support during pregnancy and motherhood, this support were considered by federal Law. The difficulty in managing different demands and roles interfered on work performance and family quality of life.
