A participação de mulheres no esporte universitário viçosense na década de 1970

Abstract

A presente pesquisa, fundamentada nos estudos de gênero e na história oral, tem como objetivo contextualizar e problematizar a participação feminina no esporte universitário viçosense entre o período de 1970 e 1980. Apresentam-se como fontes primárias as narrativas de nove mulheres esportistas do período em questão. Como fontes secundárias, utilizamos textos de jornais, informativos, documentos oficiais e fotografias. Após a análise das fontes identificamos que o processo de inserção de mulheres no esporte universitário se fez de forma gradual, alcançando visibilidade em 1970, delineando um novo contorno para a história do esporte universitário viçosense.

The present text, based in the gender studies and in the oral history, he/ she has as I aim at recount and to problematize the feminine participation in the sport academical of Viçosa, Minas Gerais, Brazil, among the years from 1970 to 1980. They come as primary sources the nine sporting women’s of the period narratives in subject. As secondary sources used texts of newspapers, informative, official documents and pictures. After the analysis of the sources we identified that the process of women’s insert in the academical sport was made in a gradual way, reaching visibility in the years of 1970, delineating a new outline for the history of the sport academical of Viçosa.
