Anatomia comparativa do intestino de duas espécies de peixes Teleostei de hábitos alimentares distintos

Abstract

Neste trabalho foi descrita anatomia do intestino de Hoplias malabaricus. ictiófago, e Pimelodus sp., preferencialmente carnívoro. Na primeira espécie, o arranjo das alças do intestino médio pôde ser considerado como padrão, uma vez que permaneceu inalterado entre vários exemplares analisados. Em Pimelodus sp., as circunvoluções das alças finais do intestino médio foram características de cada exemplar. O reto, em ambas as espécies, teve maior calibre do que o intestino médio. Em função da presença do esfíncter e da valva ileorretais e do padrão de pregas da mucosa, em ambas as espécies, o material em processamento pode permanecer por maior período de tempo no intestino médio. Os valores do coeficiente intestinal de Hoplias malabaricus e Pimelodus sp.,0,72 e 0,60, respectivamente, ressaltam o hábito alimentar carnívoro dessas espécies.

In this study the anatomy of the intestine of the Hoplias malabaricus, piscivorous and Pimelodus sp., preferentially camivorous, was described. In the first species, the dispoailion of the middle intesline can be considered as standard as it was similar in the several exemlam analyzed. In Pimelodus sp. the circunvalutiom of the middle intestine are characteristic of each specimen. The rectum, in both species, has a larger diameter in relation to the middle intestine. Due to the presence of the ileorectal sphincter and valve and the pattern of the mucuos folds, in both species, the material being processed can stay for a longer period of time in the meddle intestine. The relative gut length value (intestine coefficient) of the Hoplias malabaricus and Pímelodus sp., respectively, 0.72 and 0.60, stress me carnivorous feeding habit of these species.
