dc.description.abstractAn artificial diet for laboratory reared of Cosmºpolites sordidus (Germar) (Coleoptera: Curoulionidae) was developed to obtain adults for different studies. The immature period of insects reared with the new artificial dietwas compared to that obtained with the natural diet. The preparation of the natural diet was more time eonsuming, but insects were obtained within fewer days than when using the artificial diet.en
