Refletindo sobre as redes sociais no cuidar e educar em contextos de famílias com filhos menores de seis anos de idade

Abstract

Diante das várias mudanças da família ao longo do seu ciclo de vida, o apoio das redes sociais é fundamental ao enfrentamento de transições, como o cuidar e educar filhos de 0 a 6 anos de idade, pois, neste estágio, muitos são os problemas enfrentados pela família. As redes de apoio social formal ou informal podem possibilitar o alcance de maior equilíbrio na conciliação das atividades laborais e familiares. No entanto, nem sempre se pode contar com o apoio dessas redes sociais, buscando-se, muitas vezes, alternativas que influenciam na própria estrutura familiar, como a renúncia de um dos cônjuges pela sua participação no mercado de trabalho. Assim, este estudo descreve a morfologia das redes sociais acionadas pelas famílias com filhos pequenos e seu papel na vida familiar de docentes de instituição de ensino público federal, que chegaram à cidade de Bambuí, MG, desde o ano de 2006. E esse foi o problema do estudo: Qual papel as redes sociais exercem no cuidado e educação das crianças menores de 6 anos de idade das famílias com filhos pequenos, representadas pelos servidores do IFMG Campus Bambuí? e em que situações essas famílias recorrem às redes sociais e qual sua adequacidade no suporte às famílias? A pesquisa, de natureza qualitativa, descritiva e compreensiva, fez uso de entrevista a 19 pais com filhos menores de 6 anos de idade, incluídos no quadro de efetivos do IFMG Campus Bambuí, desde o ano de 2006. Os resultados apontaram que as Instituições de Educação Infantil, enquanto rede social formal, tiveram grande destaque em relação às outras redes formais, como o cuidador pago, porém, apesar de sua importância e demanda crescente pelos seus serviços, as IEIs da cidade de Bambuí são em número reduzido, não oferecendo alternativas ao seu público-alvo, que são as famílias com pais profissionais e filhos menores de idade. As redes sociais interferiam no cotidiano das famílias, contribuindo para um melhor equilíbrio e funcionamento da vida familiar. A inexistência e, ou, limitações desse suporte às famílias reforçam os papéis estereotipados de gênero, quando o cuidado é visto como função da mulher-mãe. Essa discussão abrange aspectos comportamentais dos docentes perante a interface trabalho remunerado e sua família, com reflexos na qualidade de vida da família e do trabalho.Because families face changes over its life cycle, the support of social networking is key to tackling transitions such as the care and education of children at 0 to 6 years of age because families face many problems during this phase. Formal or informal social support networks may enable the achievement of greater balance in the conciliation of work and family activities. However, not always can families count on the support of these social networks, so many times the families search for alternatives that influence family structure, such as the resignation of one of the spouses by its participation in the labor market. Thus, this study describes the types of support received by families with young children and their roles in the family life of teachers of institutions of public federal schools, who have arrived in Bambuí in the last five years. Thus, the problem of the study focused on the following question: what role do social networks play in the care and education of children from 0 to 6 years of families with young children, represented by the workers of IFMG Campus Bambuí, and in which situations do these families rely on social networks and what its adequacy in supporting families? This study was conducted in a qualitative descriptive and explanatory approach. Nineteen parents with children under 6 years of age, working at IFMG- Campus Bambuí since 2006 were interviewed. Results showed that Education institutions for children as a formal social network stood out when compared to other formal networks, such as the paid caregiver, but despite its importance and increasing demand for its services, the education institutions of Bambuí are in a small number, not offering alternatives to its target public, which are the families with parents who are professionals and with children who are minors. The social networks interfered in the daily lives of families, contributing to the improvement of the quality of life of the group and functioning of the family. Lack and or limitations of this kind of support to the families reinforce stereotyped roles of the gender when the care is seen as a task of woman-mother. This discussion covers behavioral aspects of the teachers by the paid job interface and their families with reflects on the quality of life of the family and work.
