A inter(ação) entre os aspectos literários e os aspectos geográficos na obra Cidade de Deus

Abstract

Esta pesquisa procura, através de um trabalho interdisciplinar entre a Literatura e a Geografia, identificar a relação de alguns dos conceitos trabalhados em sala de aula com o tempo e o espaço da narrativa. A obra Cidade de Deus de Paulo Lins foi escolhida graças a seu contexto de criação, cujo autor retrata, duramente, a realidade da favela em que crescera por meio de um enredo fictício, mas extremamente verossímil. Espaço, paisagem, território e lugar foram os conceitos escolhidos, levando-se em consideração duas perspectivas: a primeira considera que o estudo geoliterário fundamenta-se na relação entre o espaço e o lugar, visto que este permite ao autor descrever uma história do plano particular e pessoal para o plano geral, já a segunda mostra que a percepção da espacialidade ocorre só após perceber a existência de uma paisagem e de um território. Pretende-se reconhecer na obra a presença desses conceitos e sua importância na apreensão de características que promovam uma interpretação mais profunda. Além disso, acredita-se que a presente análise é importante para valorização dos referentes conteúdos e seu estudo em conjunto promoverá mais interesse nos alunos.This research seeks, throught an interdisplinary work between the Literature and the Geography, to identify the relationship between some of the concepts studied on the classroom and the time and space of the narrative. The work Cidade de Deus by Paulo Lins was chosen thanks to its context of creation, in which the author harshly portrays the reality of the favela in which he had grown up through a fictional plot, but extremely credible. Space, landscape, territory and place were the chosen concepts, taking into account two perspectives: the first considers that the geoliterary study is based on the relationship between space and place, since this allows the author to describe a history of private and personal plan to the general plan, yet the second one shows that the perception of spatiality occurs only after realizing the existence of a landscape and a territory. It is intended torecognize in the work the presence of these concepts and their importance in the understanding of characteristics that promote a deeper interpretation. In addition, it is believed that the present analysis is important for valuing the referring contents and its study together will promote more interest in students.
