Abstract
This dissertation examines the literary trajectory of Fernando Ferreira de Loanda (1924–2002), a writer, editor, and anthologist associated with the so-called Generation of 45. Born in Luanda, raised in Portugal, and based in Brazil since his adolescence, the author developed a body of work marked by the experience of displacement, dialogue with the Luso-Brazilian tradition, and active participation in the publishing circuit. Despite his relevant role, his work remains marginal in literary criticism. This study proposes a mapping of his presence in the press and his bibliographic production based on primary sources, especially periodicals consulted in the Hemeroteca Digital da Biblioteca nacional and the archives of O Globo, Folha de S. Paulo, and O Estado de S. Paulo. The objective is to reconstruct Loanda's insertion into the literary field and carry out a survey of his critical reception. The dissertation is organized into two axes. The first analyzes Loanda's circulation in newspapers between the 1940s and 2000s, encompassing poems, short stories, interviews, critical texts, and news about his cultural activity. Along this path, his participation in the journal ORFEU, of which he was co-director, stands out. The second axis examines his books and anthologies, focusing on Equinócio (1953), Do amor e do mar (1964), Kuala Lumpur (1991), and Signo da serpente (2000). The analysis highlights recurrent themes such as the sea, travel, memory, and tradition, reaffirming Loanda's importance as a writer, editor, and mediator of post-war Brazilian poetry. Keywords: Fernando Ferreira de Loanda; Gerenation of 45; Post-war poetry; Journal ORFEU
