Patrimônio cultural e identidade: os processos de patrimonialização dos bens piranguenses e os desafios da preservação e da conscientização

Abstract

Este estudo trata dos processos de patrimonialização acerca dos bens patrimoniais de Piranga, MG. Buscamos compreender a relação entre patrimônio, identidade, pertencimento e preservação. A metodologia utilizada foi um levantamento sobre a história da cidade por meio de bibliografia existente, fontes documentais e de uma análise dos documentos que integram esses processos e os dossiês de tombamento. Para tanto, realizamos uma discussão acerca da população piranguense e sobre como ela se identifica com esses bens patrimoniais, tendo como objetivo analisar se a população faz parte desses processos e se o preservar é uma demanda popular ou não. Como recorte temporal, analisamos os processos de tombamento que datam de 1959 a 2009 e os inventários que datam até 2011. Procuramos, por meio desse levantamento e do contato com os agentes relacionados, descobrir se há uma identificação dos moradores com o patrimônio cultural local, com o intuito de tentar entender se o descaso com vários bens é uma consequência da não identificação da população com o patrimônio ou não. Assim, foi possível elucidar qual a importância da relação entre memória, identidade e pertencimento acerca da questão patrimonial no caso específico da cidade mineira de Piranga. We seek to understand the relationship between heritage, identity, belonging and preservation. The methodology used was a survey of the city's history through existing bibliography, documentary sources and an analysis of the documents that integrate these processes and the listing dossiers. To do so, we held a discussion about the population of Pirangi and how it identifies with these heritage assets, with the objective of analyzing whether the population is part of these processes and whether preserving it is a popular demand or not. As a time frame, we analyzed the processes of listing that date from 1959 to 2009 and the inventories that date up to 2011. Through this survey and contact with related agents, we sought to find out if there is an identification of residents with the local cultural heritage, in order to try to understand whether the neglect of various assets is a consequence of the population not identifying with the heritage or not. Thus, it was possible to elucidate the importance of the relationship between memory, identity and belonging regarding the heritage issue in the specific case of the Minas Gerais city of Piranga.
