Abstract
A trial was carried out in greenhouses at the Federal University of Viçosa, from between October to December of 1992, in order to evaluate the tolerance of the soybean cultivars Cristalina, Doko, Garimpo, IAC-8, Paranagoiana, Paranaíba, Savana, Sucupira and the UFV88-RC191 Strain to the herbicide lactofen, applied along with the adjunct “Assist” in the dosages of 0,216 kg of a.p. and 1,0 ] per ha, respectively, in three stages of vegetative development (V2, V4 and V6). Paranaíba responded as the most tolerant and Sucupira as the most sensitive to lactofen. Application on stage V4 afforded higher recuperation on dry matter of aerial parts, height of plants and lower phytotoxicity.
