Abstract
Este artigo apresenta parte de uma pesquisa sobre a representação de crianças e adolescentes sobre os resíduos sólidos. Os dados analisados referem-se às concepções
de crianças e adolescentes de 5 a 13 anos sobre conceito e formação dos resíduos sólidos. O método utilizado na pesquisa foi o método clínico piagetiano, e os dados foram coletados por meio de entrevista clínica. Os dados passaram por análise
qualitativa. Os resultados encontrados apontaram que as crianças e adolescentes que vivenciam um projeto de educação ambiental que trabalham com as questões de conceito e formação dos resíduos sólidos têm possibilidade de refletir e propor soluções para esses problemas, desde muito novas. As crianças e adolescentes vão construindo seus conceitos e maneiras de ver e perceber o mundo ao longo de seu desenvolvimento, por isso sempre vão ter o que dizer sobre o mundo em que vivem.
This article presents part of a research on the representation of children and adolescents on solid waste. The data analyzed refer to the views of children and adolescents 5-13 years from concept and formation of solid waste. The method used in this research was the Piagetian clinical method, and data were collected through clinical interview. The data passed through qualitative analysis. The results indicate that children and adolescents who have a project on environmental education working with he issues of concept and formation of solid waste has ability to reflect and propose solutions to these problems, since very young. Children and adolescents are building their concepts and ways of seeing and perceiving the world throughout its development, so it will always have to say about the world in which they live.
