História das instituições escolares: o instituir da Fazenda de Florestal (1935-1948)

Abstract
Esta dissertação tem como objetivo apresentar um conhecimento científico de natureza histórica sobre o instituir da Fazenda Florestal, em Minas Gerais, acerca de sua especificidade como fazenda, articulado a um projeto político e econômico do Estado mineiro, entre 1935 e 1948. O período histórico da dissertação considera dois momentos institucionais da fazenda, tendo em vista um projeto de desenvolvimento econômico da agropecuária mineira, levando em conta os processos de desapropriações da Vila Florestal para formar a Estação Experimental, a partir de 1935, e, na sequência, quando recebeu a Escola Agrícola, em 1939, passando à Fazenda-Escola, formando profissionais para lidar com as atividades do campo. O conhecimento do instituir da Fazenda Florestal converge com os três objetivos específicos de tal dissertação: revelar as tensões de poder que pairavam sobre os processos de formação da fazenda pelas ações desapropriatórias das terras; desvelar as finalidades e especificidade da instituição como fazenda e, finalmente, categorizar os sujeitos que frequentaram a fazenda nos primeiros anos de seu funcionamento como escola pelas pastas dos alunos. As fontes utilizadas compreendem, principalmente, documentos que se referem à sua instituição, como escrituras públicas, estatuto, imprensa oficial de Minas Gerais e jornais difundidos à época, além das pastas dos estudantes, preservadas pela instituição. Para a composição desta dissertação, foram realizados estudos teóricos e conceituais no campo da educação profissional, assim como estudos nos campos da História da Educação e da História da Educação Profissional, construída de acordo com a proposta do Programa de Pós-graduação de Educação Tecnológica (PPGET). Como referencial teórico, utilizar-se-á das lições de Justino Pereira de Magalhães sobre o conceito instituir. A diversidade de fontes possibilitou cruzar informações de diferentes origens. This dissertation aims to present a scientific knowledge of historical nature about the establishment of the Forest Farm, in Minas Gerais, about its specificity as a farm, articulated with a political and economic project of the State of Minas Gerais, between 1935 and 1948. The historical period of the dissertation considers two institutional moments of the farm, with a view to an economic development project for Minas Gerais agriculture, taking into account the expropriations processes of Vila Florestal to form the Experimental Station, starting in 1935, and, subsequently, when it received the Agricultural School, in 1939, moving on to the School Farm, training professionals to deal with field activities. The knowledge of establishing the Forest Farm converges with the three specific objectives of such dissertation: revealing the tensions of power that hovered over the processes of formation of the farm through land expropriation actions; unveil the purposes and specificity of the institution as a farm and, finally, categorize the subjects who attended the farm in the first years of its operation as a school by the students' folders. The sources used mainly comprise documents that refer to the institution, such as public deeds, statutes, the official press of Minas Gerais and newspapers distributed at the time, in addition to the students' folders preserved by the institution. To compose this dissertation, theoretical and conceptual studies were carried out in the field of professional education, as well as studies in the fields of History of Education and History of Professional Education, built in accordance with the proposal of the Postgraduate Program in Technological Education (PPGET). As a theoretical reference, we will use Justino Pereira de Magalhães' lessons on the concept of establishing. The diversity of sources made it possible to cross-reference information from different origins. The results showed the specificities of the institution as a farm. Keywords: Forest Farm. Institute.
