Linguagens do vestuário: as transformações na indumentária da Festa de Nossa Senhora do Rosário de Paula Cândido – MG

Abstract

O presente trabalho tem como propósito o estudo da linguagem não-verbal da indumentária utilizada pelos participantes da Festa de Nossa Senhora do Rosário da cidade de Paula Cândido-MG, com a finalidade de investigar as transformações às quais um patrimônio cultural imaterial está sujeito para manter sua existência. Através de análises do vestuário, observamos as mudanças das roupas e acessórios utilizados nas apresentações e investigamos os aspectos responsáveis por tal fenômeno, o que foi possível através da realização de entrevistas com os envolvidos na celebração, observação participante na celebração e referencial teórico, gerando discussões acerca de assuntos como patrimônio cultural, leitura de signos transmitidos através de objetos, memória coletiva e identidade. Tendo em vista a particularidade da festa, elaboramos um material didático interativo que possibilite as crianças da cidade de Paula Cândido a identificarem e entenderem o patrimônio imaterial cultural de sua cidade, possibilitando a iniciação de reflexões sobre o assunto.The purpose of this present study was to explore the non-verbal language of clothing used by the participants of the Festa de Nossa Senhora do Rosário in the Paula Cândido city in MG in order to investigate the transformations to which an intangible cultural heritage is submitted to maintain its existence. Through the clothing analyses, it was observed changes in clothing and accessories used during the presentations and then it was investigated the related aspects in that phenomenon. That analysis was based on interviews with those involved in the celebration, observation of participant in the celebration, and on theoretical reference access. As consequences, discussions about subjects such as cultural heritage, reading of signs transmitted through objects, collective memory, and identity were generated. Taking into account the particularity of that traditional event, we developed an interactive didactic material that allows the children from the Paula Cândido city to identify and understand the intangible cultural heritage of their city, allowing the initiation of reflections about the subject.
