Sociedade e política na rede sociotécnica

Abstract

O objetivo deste trabalho é propor reflexões sobre as mplicações da vertente teórica Science and Technology Studies (STS) para uma perspectiva de sociedade, enfocando a corrente denominada Actor Network Theory (ANT). Propomos apresentar a concepção de sociedade apresentada nesta abordagem e suas implicações na dimensão sociológica e política. O argumento é de que a ANT apresenta uma visão inovadora de sociedade e de política, capaz de explicitar e potencializar a associação de interesses em torno das inovações sociotécnicas. Abordamos a formação da sociedade a partir de negociações e alianças típicas da atividade científica e a artificialidade dos processos de produção e difusão dos fatos sociais, valorizando o interesse e o envolvimento dos atores e das coletividades nos fenômenos. Por fim, problematizamos as implicações sociopolíticas desta abordagem com relação à democracia.The aim of this work is proposing reflections upon the implications of the theoretical slope Science and Technology Studies (STS) for a perspective of society, focusing the variant called Actor Network Theory (ANT). We propose to introduce the conception of society presented in this approach and its implications on the sociological and political dimensions. The argument is that the ANT presents an innovative view upon society and politics, able to explicit and potencializes the association of interests around the sociotechnical innovations. We approach the society formation from typical negotiations and alliances of the scientific task and artificiality of the processes of production and diffusion of the social facts, valorizing the interest and the involvement of the actors and the collectivity on the phenomena. Finally, we question the sociopolitical implications of this approach in relation to the democracy.
