Abstract
We can understand social movements as a system of relationships that engender different collective processes, woven into political, cultural, aesthetic and diverse historical dynamics. Hence, new themes and groups appear in contemporary societies as inserted in the questioning of social movements, as we believe to be the case of the Agricul- tural Family Schools (Escolas Famílias Agrícolas – EFAs). This paper, by presenting the social dynamics that built the EFA Puris, in the municipality of Araponga/ MG, argues that EFAs are not rural schools isolated in themselves, but a comprehensive set of interre- lated social subjects. We believe, therefore, the need of paying attention to the movement of EFAs in Brazil, especially when it is so often configured from processes that is managed in communities and among their subjects.
