Influência da remoção de vagens sobre os componentes de produção da soja (Glycine max (L.) Merrill)

Abstract

Foram realizados em Viçosa, MG, dois experimentos, em condições de campo, respectivamente nos anos agrícolas 1983/84 e 1984/85, tendo como objetivo avaliar os componentes de produção da variedade de soja 'UFV-5', em quatro épocas de colheita (0, 15, 30 e 45 dias após o estádio R8,0), cujas plantas foram submetidas a dois níveis de remoção das vagens (50 e 100%), em quatro estádios de desenvolvimento (R4,0; R5,0; R5,5 e R6,0). A remoção parcial (50%) ou total (100%) de vagens aumentou o peso. médio de 100 sementes e reduziu o. número de vagens/planta, o número de sementes/,vagem e a produção de sementes. As plantas com 100% das vagens removidas recuperaram, em parte, a produção de sementes com novas vagens, exceto quando a remoção foi realizada no estádio R6,0. O retardamento da colheita, por 45 dias após o estádio R8,0, influenciou negativamente a produção de sementes, pelo menor número de vagens por planta nessa época.

Two field trials were carried out at Viçosa, MG, in the growing seasºnsçof 1983/84 and 1984/85, respectively, tostudy the behavior of the yield components “of sºybean, cv.“ UFV-5, at four harvesting times (0, 15, 30 and 45 days after the R8 stage), when the plants Were submitted to two levels of pod removals (50 and 100%) at four develºpmental stages (R4.0, R5.0, RS.5 and R6.0). Partial (50%) or total (100%) pod remotion in general increased the average 100 seed weight and decreased the number of pods per plant, the number of seed per pod and the seed yield. Plants with 100% pod removal partially recovered the seed production by setting up new pods except when the pod were removed at the R6 stage. Delaying the harvest for forty five days after the R8 stage affected negatively the seed yield, as a result of the smaller number of pods per plant in comparison with that of the harvesting time.
