Mangroves are characterized as a tropical and subtropical coastal ecosystem, transitioning between the terrestrial and marine environments. They play an important ecological, social and economic role as they are responsible for maintaining environments located outside their limits. Over the last decades this ecosystem has been occupied and devastated, mainly because the process of urbanization m Brazil occurred mn a fast and disorderly way. The most disturbing changes in the Mangroves are man- induced, when they are used as shrimp farms, urban and industrial uses, and for diversion and imprisonment of rivers. In this study, it was verified and evaluated the degree of saline Influence 1n the mangroves of Lagoa Encantada, 1n order to know 1f the tide still exerts participation 1n the dynamics of the soils of this environment, due to the modifications caused by the badly planned vurbanization and the inappropriate occupation along the river Aribiri. The study area 1s located mn Lagoa Encantada 1n the municipalty of Vila Velha - ES has approximately 120 ha that shelters fragments of Atlantic Forest, ecosystems associated with this biome as; Restingas, Mangroves and Mata de Tabuleiros. Soil samples were submitted to routine chemical and physical analysis for characterization purposes. In order to detect the degree of salt influence, the soil solution was extracted by the aqueous extract method using a 1: 2.5 soil / water ratio. Through the solution, electrical conductivity and anion analyzes were performed. The silt samples were analyzed mn SEM, model LEO 4301 with backscatter detector coupled to the X-ray dispersion spectrometer (PCXA-EDS), with the purpose of detecting Pyrite that mm the geochemical conditions of the mangrove 1s stable, good parameter to be observed for the purpose of the research.
