Abstract
Posteriormente, ocorreram shows,
This article aims to present the Extension Project Procultura/UFV, that seeks to spread popular culture from the interaction between the cantadores de folia and through the musical and literary circulation in order to interlink the community of the region of Vale do Mucuri, Universidade Federal de Viçosa (UFV) and the city Viçosa-MG, Brazil. First, the cultural managers and producers were trained through a participative action involving undergraduated students of UFV who interacted with the dissemination of regional culture movement. Afterwards, there were concerts, courses and discussions carried out through workshops to disseminate and inspire the ones that are involved on the regional singularity. This initiative also seeks to promote the professional development of the Band Mangalô. As results, it is understood that such aspects (re) signify its own references in a differentiated perspective, without commodifying culture and, at the same time, it provides exchange of knowledge between groups of Vale do Mucuri and the university, besides boosting more researches about the region.
