Abstract
Introdução: A obesidade é uma doença crônica, progressiva e de múltiplos fatores e está diretamente relacionada a alterações nas funções endócrinas e metabólicas do tecido adiposo. Dentre as complicações está a existência da resistência à insulina, que pode ser medida de maneira mais acessível na prática clínica pelo índice tyg, que tem a capacidade de análise melhor da resistência à insulina do que o Homeostasis Model Assessment (HOMA-IR). A obesidade também tem como característica o consumo inadequado de alimentos, práticas alimentares incorretas e estilo de vida não saudável. Objetivo: Avaliar os fatores associados à resistência à insulina e às práticas alimentares em mulheres com obesidade em Viçosa - MG. Metodologia:Trata-se de um estudo observacional, individual, analítico, de corte transversal, para o qual foram recrutadas mulheres adultas, com Índice de Massa Corporal (IMC) ≥ 30 kg/m2. Foram coletadas variáveis sociodemográficas (idade, situação conjugal, renda, escolaridade); variáveis antropométricas (circunferência da cintura, circunferência do quadril, circunferência do pescoço, peso, estatura e IMC) e variáveis bioquímicas (hemoglobina glicada, glicemia de jejum, insulina, triglicerídeos, colesterol HDL, colesterol LDL, colesterol total, proteína C- Reativa, ácido úrico, hemograma completo dentre outros parâmetros). Para determinação das práticas alimentares das mulheres foi utilizado uma escala validada e embasada no Guia Alimentar para a população Brasileira, que considera quatro dimensões (planejamento, organização doméstica, escolha dos alimentos e modos de comer). Os itens da escala foram somados e posteriormente classificados em “Atenção” até 31 pontos, “Siga em frente” de 32 a 41 pontos e “Excelente” acima de 42 pontos. Já para determinação da composição corporal foi utilizado o DXA (absortometria de raios X de dupla energia). As análises foram realizadas com o software SPSS versão 23. Among the complications is the existence of insulin resistance, which can be measured in a more accessible way in clinical practice by the tyg index, which is better able to analyze insulin resistance than the Homeostasis Model Assessment (HOMA- IR). Obesity is also characterized by inadequate food consumption, incorrect dietary practices and an unhealthy lifestyle. Objective:To evaluate the factors associated with the tyg index and the factors associated with dietary practices in obese women attending primary care in Viçosa - MG. Methodology: This is an observational, individual, analytical, cross-sectional study, which will recruit adult women with a Body Mass Index (BMI) ≥ 30 kg/m2. Sociodemographic variables were analyzed (age, marital status, income, schooling); anthropometric variables (waist circumference, hip circumference, neck circumference, weight, height and BMI); biochemical variables (glycated hemoglobin, fasting glucose, insulin, triglycerides, HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, total cholesterol, C-reactive protein, uric acid, complete blood count, among other parameters). A validated scale based on the Food Guide for the Brazilian population was used to determine women's eating practices, which considers four dimensions (planning, household organization, food choice and ways of eating). The items on the scale were added up and then classified as "Attention" up to 31 points, "Move on" from 32 to 41 points and "Excellent" above 42 points. DXA (dual-energy X- ray absorptiometry) was used to determine body composition. The analyses were carried out using SPSS software version 23.
