The objectives of this work were to characterize the symptomalogical display of mineral deficiencies in acerola's seedlings, and the leaf content of nutrients associated with them as well as the order these nutrients were required. The experiment was installed in a greenhouse at the Universidade Federal de Viçosa, in ViçoSa-MG, using pots containing washed sand with a complete solution (N, P, K, Ca, Mg, S, Mn, B, Fe, Cu, Mo and Zn) and with individual omission of nutrients (-N, -P, -K, -Ca, -Mg, -S, -Mn, -B, -Fe),arranged in a randomized block design With ten treatments and four replications, and two plants per plot. The lack of N, P and B limited plant growth the most, followed by lack of Mg and Ca. The N, P, Ca and B deficiency symptoms were quite evident. Plant leaves in complete solution and with emission of the nutrients presented, respectively, for N, P, K, Ca, Mg and 3, the contents of 2.72, 0.14, 4.16, 1.64, 0.58 and 0.22 dag kg^-1 and of 2.15, 0.06, 0.77, 0.79, 0.27 and 0.13 dag kg^-1. Plant stems in the complete solution and with omission of nutrients presented, respectively, for N, P, K, Ca, Mg and S, the contents of 1.16, 0.16, 2.37, 1.21, 0.29 and 0.15 dag kg^-1 and of 0.68, 0.07, 1.01, 0.52, 0.21 and 0.07 dag kg^-1. Plant roots in complete solution and with emission of the nutrients presented, respectively, for N, P, K, Ca, Mg and 8, the contents of 1.09, 0.14, 2.02, 0.77, 0.29 and 0.12 dag kg^-1 and of 0.81, 0.08, 0.70, 0.47, 0.25 and 0.04 dag kg^-1. The nutrients requirement order was: K>N>C a>Mg> S=P.
