Abstract
Frente às mudanças da família ao longo do seu ciclo de vida, o apoio das redessociais é fundamental ao enfrentamento de transições tais como o cuidar e educar filhosde 0 a 6 anos de idade. Este estudo descreve os tipos de apoio recebido pelas famílias decamadas médias da população de Bambuí – MG, e seus reflexos na sua qualidade devida, representadas por docentes de instituição de ensino público federal que chegaramnesta cidade nos últimos 5 anos. Para as famílias, o principal apoio recebido foi o dasredes sociais formais: cuidador pago e Instituições de Educação Infantil (IEI), e aslimitações foram baseadas na ausência de atendimento pelas IEI a crianças menores deum ano de idade. Estes resultados sugerem reflexos negativos na qualidade de vida dafamília e na atividade desempenhada no trabalho remunerado.
Because of family changes throughout its life cycle, the support of social networks is essential to facing transitions such as caring for and educating children 0-6 years old. This study describes the types of support received by families of middle class in Bambuí – MG, and its effects on their quality of life, represented by teaching staff from the federal public educational institution who arrived in the city over the past 5 years. For families, the strongest support was received from the formal networks, paid institutions, and Infant Education Institutions (IEI), and the limitations were based on lack of attendance by IEI to children under one year old. These results suggest a negative effect on quality of life for families and in the performed activity in paid work.
