Uma nova velha nova retórica: o discurso da sustentabilidade local

Abstract

Após o advento da Rio-92, o sentimento e a esperança por um mundo melhor afloraram em todas as pessoas de boa fé. Entretanto, após duas décadas, as palavras de ânimo se tornaram um discurso ultrapassado, que, apesar de tudo, ainda é utilizado para se qualificar uma preocupação com a atual situação socioeconômica e ambiental do planeta Terra. Nesse sentido, o presente trabalho busca abordar a temática do desenvolvimento sustentável, à luz do desenvolvimento local, e os fatores limitantes de tal idéia, muito divulgada pela Agenda 21, porém pouco implementada nas cidades do mundo.After the coming of the Rio-92, the feeling and the hope for a better world surfaced in good faith in all of the people. However, after two decades, the vitality words became in outdated speech, that in spite of everything, it is still used to qualify a concern with the current socioeconomic and environmental situation of the planet Earth. In this sense, the present work, search to approach the theme of the maintainable development, the light of the local development and the restrictive factors of such an idea very published by the calendar 21, however little implemented in the cities of the world.
