Mrs Dalloway encontra Virgínia Woolf: um estudo sobre a autonomia de mulheres

Abstract

Este artigo visaa analisar a obra Mrs Dalloway(1925), de Virgínia Woolf, promovendo um estudo sobre a autonomia feminina, para investigar a aproximação entre Clarissa Dalloway e Woolf, visto que a autora dispõe da técnica do diálogo interior para presentificar sua personagem, como o conceito desenvolvido por Braith (1985). Esta abordagem permite ao leitor o acessoàrelação entre o escrito e o vivido, considerando que a moldagem das subjetividades da narradora-protagonista se dá por meio de um contexto sócio-histórico e cultural, do qual a autora também fazia parte. Pressupõe-se que o tempo é uma personagem marcante na trajetória de Dalloway, pois este permeia a vida da protagonista. TendoWoolf como uma referênciada escrita de fluxo de consciência, o tempo é um influenciador de ações, pois as relações com os espaços público e privado auxiliam na compreensão de como as mulheres se moldam para se adaptara o ambiente no qual se encontram. Como metodologia para este trabalho, utilizou-se um arcabouço teórico pautado na crítica literária feminista e estudos de gênero. Assim, pretende-se a aproximação entre autora e obra com o intuito de identificar traços de Woolf na personagem.This article aims to analyze the work Mrs Dalloway(1925) by Virginia Woolf promoting a study on female autonomy, to investigate the rapprochement between Clarissa Dalloway and Woolf, since the author uses the technique of inner dialogue to present her character, as the concept developed by Braith (1985). This approach allows the reader to access the relationship between what is written and what is lived, considering that the molding of the subjectivities of the narrator-protagonist takes place through a socio-historical and cultural context, of which the author was also a part. It is assumed that time is a key character in the character's trajectory, as it permeates the protagonist's life. Having Woolf as a reference in the stream-of-consciousness writing, time is an influencer of actions, as relationships with public and private spaces help in understanding how women shape themselves to adapt to the environment in which they find themselves. As a methodology for this work, a theoretical framework based on feminist literary criticism was used, andgender studies. Thus, it is intended to bring the author and the work closer together in order to identify Woolf's traits in the character.
