No presente trabalho estudaremos algumas definições de fluxos expansivos, suas relações entre elas e com o auxílio de alguma delas provaremos dois teoremas; um de caracterização de fluxos expansivos sobre superfícies compactas, e um outro sobre a caracterização das superfícies compactas que suportam fluxos expansivos; estes resultados são devidos a A.
