Rebaixamentos e acessos no campeonato brasileiro: grandes resultados na série B e dificuldades na série A

Abstract

Introdução: O futebol vem evoluindo na busca de ferramentas para auxiliar no alcance de melhores resultados, tendo os números como aliado na compreensão e avaliação do futebol. As equipes enfrentam em cada temporada problemas/situações que influenciam os resultados nas competições, os quais podem determinar o acesso ou rebaixamento na divisão disputada. Objetivo: Analisar e discutir a ocorrência de frequência de rebaixamentos e acessos nas Séries A e B do Campeonato Brasileiro. Metodologia: O presente estudo possui caráter de pesquisa descritiva. Foram analisadas as frequências de rebaixamentos e acessos entre 2003 e 2020 do Campeonato Brasileiro Séries A e B do futebol masculino profissional. Foram recolhidas e analisadas, por meio dos sites gratuitos SofaScore e Globo Esporte, as posições das equipes da Série A do Campeonato Brasileiro que obtiveram o acesso no ano anterior. Foi realizada também a análise descritiva com as frequências das equipes envolvidas nos rebaixamentos da Série A para a Série B e no acesso da Série B para a Série A. Resultados: Identificou-se rápida mudança ou instabilidade de se manterem em alguma divisão das equipes com mais de um rebaixamento e acesso na “era dos pontos corridos”. Além disso, constatou-se dificuldade de as equipes que obtiveram o acesso pela Série B conquistarem melhores posições no ano seguinte na Série A. Conclusão: Há dificuldade das equipes se manterem na Série A logo após alcançarem o acesso, bem como instabilidade delas em permanecerem nas divisões.Introduction: Soccer has evolved in the search for tools that help to obtain better results, withnumbers as allies in the compression and evaluation of soccer. Each season, teams face problems/situations that influence the results in competitions that can determine access or relegation in the division in which they play. Objective: To analyze and discuss the occurrences of relegation and access frequencies between Serie A and Serie B of the Brazilian Championship. Methodology: The present study has a descriptive research character. The frequencies of relegations and accesses from 2003-2020 of the Brazilian championship Série A and B of professional football were analyzed. Through the free websites “SofaScore” and Globo Esporte, the positions of the Serie A teams of the Brazilian Championship that obtained access in the previous year were collected and analyzed. A descriptive analysis was also carried out with the frequencies of the teams involved in the relegations from Serie A to Serie B, and in the rise of Serie B to Serie A. Results:Identified the rapid change or instability of remaining in a team division with more than one relegation and access in the “era of running points”. In addition, the difficulty of the teams that managed to gain access through Serie B to conquer better positions in the following year in Serie A. Conclusion: There is difficulty for teams to remain in Serie A soon after reaching their access, and instability of these teams to remain in divisions.
