The worsening of such problems/challenges meant that EFA Dom Luciano reached a difficult and complicated situation in 2021, running the risk of having to end its activities and close its doors. Faced with such a problem, the present work sought to identify the potential of the political pedagogical movement promoted by rural educators as a process of resistance to the risk of closure experienced by the school. Conversation Rounds were held to recognize the problems faced by the school and for the planning and collective evaluation of joint efforts aimed at its revitalization. Semi-structured interviews were carried out with the rural educators involved in the processes, seeking to identify the political-pedagogical principles and aspirations that guided their actions. The Field Diary was used to record memories, perceptions and information pertinent to the development of the research. Based on data analysis, it can be seen that the actions promoted resulted in the sharing of technical, popular, political and cultural knowledge between the subjects involved. Furthermore, they promoted awareness of the challenges faced by rural schools, consolidated unity among people willing to take care of the school and enabled important achievements for the organizational, structural, political and pedagogical strengthening of EFA Dom Luciano. In short, the joint efforts consolidated a relevant formative movement of political resistance, which reaffirmed in practice the potential of socialized work and the collective subject in the fight for emancipatory Rural Education. As an educational product, a thematic and informative magazine was produced about the revitalization process of EFA Dom Luciano, which presents memories of the remarkable moments of the joint efforts, as well as images, poetry, popular methods and conceptions of education and society that constituted our collective resistance movement. We believe that the material produced can help educators committed to the emancipatory education of rural people. Keywords: Rural Education; Popular Education; School Closing.
